After the storm

This was taken at my Aunt's house a few weeks ago. There's just something about a rainbow...

If I could catch a rainbow,
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea
But all these things I'm finding
Are impossible for me

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best
A friend who's always there

  1. Beautiful! She lives in a farm? I live on a ranch but would not mind the farm either.

  2. They have a tobacco farm. I have another Aunt who lives nearby, and they raise cattle. Next time I visit there, I'll have to take some pictures. They live in the middle of nowhere, and it's lovely.

  3. Nice poem! Isn't it funny how the worst of storms can produce the loveliest of rainbows? I guess it's to remind us that bad times are stepping stones to something better.
